Going Leftie - Part I
I've always wondered what it is like to be left handed. From this week on, I will try to become left handed. (Or rather, double handed, since I am already right handed ?!)
I have started by putting my watch on my other arm. Once I feel comfortable with that, I'll try and grab things with my other hand, wear my bag over my shoulder the other way, put my computer mouse on the other side and eventually start writing with my left hand.
This may take me a long while, but I want to give it a try! Any ideas and support from the lefties out there would be highly appreciated ;) ! I'll update my status on here as well...
Current Music: Belle and Sebastian - Legal Man
PS: This song is one you all have to listen to :D ! One of the happiest and bounciest songs I know. Yeah!

Hey Niko,
nice idea, i once was left handed and had to learn to get right handed. My Teacher wanted me to do so and i can tell you it is not that nice. I would recommend you not to change your writing-hand because it will lead to an ugly handwriting (as i do have it now).

why do you want to be a lefty? i mean, we lefties are better, but still ;)
i don't know if that is just a whim of yours, but tell me how it goes. And also, i don't think your handwriting will go worse- it might even improve considering how tiny and illegible it is right now :P
also, today btw is the bulgarian independence day.
hugsies,

btw, your blog title reminded me of a play that i read for theater - it was called "Waiting for Lefty" by Clifford Odets. The style of the play is called "Agit-prop", which I personally think is hilarious.
...
sorry that was pointless.

i had to try, when i broke my arm. i guess my left hand is slightly better now, but i would not recommend you to change your writing hand either. it's really hard and ugly and it even gave me headaches...
anyway, i'll see you very, very soon! :)

hahaha. i had many unsuccessful attemtps during my childhood and actually until i finally admitted that it does not matter. but i still get jeaous of the way they hold a notebook or a book and turn the pages:)
But (un)fortunately it is possible to change the way people use their hands.
So if you realy want to get a leftie you can do this just by not using your right hand. Of course it does not matter anyway if your a leftie or not. But you have to admit that leftie is a dity word in german language for somebody who is mentaly ill.
So if you realy want to be one just try to get one.

Hmmm... I'm a leftie and I use the mouse with my right hand, for example. I can't use the scizors with my left hand either. I was forced to play guitar the way right handed people do, so bottom line... yeah.
But hey, I like being left handed a lot. It makes writing a lot easier (not to mention more fun), at least for me, inspite what right handed people say...
Go for it!
