Light and Day
Merry Christmas, everybody :) . If I don't write to you individually, please don't hold it against me. I hope you all will have a most lovely break.
As for me, I will be trying to have a nice break. It may not be that easy now that there are people running around outside, dropping poison to kill dogs in time for Christmas to make people sad. It has happened the last few years, a dog or two each around the Christmas time. This year, within 24 hours, Toby, my dog, went from being larger-than-life healthy to lifeless, careful as he had always been. He died last night at about 7, three minutes before we managed to get to the hospital to say goodbye. He was wonderful until the end, the way he tried to fight, the way he let us know just how close we are and he is...
This Christmas is his Christmas. May he be well whereever he may travel now, I will be thinking of him.
Happy festive season to all out there, I am giving you a huge huge hug :) .

My Baggage
The only baggage that you can bring
Is all that you can't
leave behind
Is all that you can't
leave behind
I saw the sunrise over the hills this morning. I gazed at low-hanging clouds on the horizon. I walked on a frozen beach. I cried, I laughed.
I left, in some sense. I'll be gone in a few hours. But I can't help feeling that part of me will be the baggage that I will have to leave behind this time, though I by no means would ever want to.
